The Perfect Pokémon Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Zodiac Sign

The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm within the fandom. From the gradual reveal of newcomers ahead of the title's launch, to players forming strong opinions on the entire roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: How can link this with astrology? The following is based on a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as always furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, known for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why Aries far more similar to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Remain on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful partner; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.

The Bull – Super Heracross

Similar to a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross species, both in its regular and Super Form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, each the Pokémon and a Bull are still battle-oriented, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their position unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed love of treats. Several previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for tasty sap and how it uses its horn to collect it all, which is true Taurus energy.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Observe this absolute royalty. You cannot tell me this creature is not the life of every party, providing an endless fountain of gossip to anyone who wish to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an whole open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which seems quite similar to a people-smart Twins.

Cancer – Super Manectric

Cancer is commonly regarded as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol famous for frequently becoming absorbed in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to completely control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to create a thundercloud over its own self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their own parade.

Leo – Super Starmie

Oh, did you assume I was going to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be far too obvious, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your taste). Players were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the identical energy a Lion offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a performance, albeit for aliens.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly critical is strongly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a perpetually surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden posts to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Observe this sweet, sensitive creature, who uses the sensors on its ears to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the peace, there are numerous Libras who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to stress even more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad backstory: Discarded as a doll, it became sentient through sheer hatred and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a show. Being a Archer personally, the amount of occasions I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful small jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can think of.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to predict calamities in advance? That exudes the identical energy as a Capricorn, who tends to always believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Detached air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame sign that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame typing matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general intimidating aura is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
